Plasma Cutting Table Operator

We are immediately hiring a motivated individual to set up and operate a Plasma Table to cut and trim parts. There is also a certain level of responsibility in self direction, scheduling and planning operations, and labor relations to fulfill this role.

• Set up and operate a Plasma Table to cut and trim parts. Training will be provided for serious-minded applicants seeking a long term career opportunity.
• Verify the quality of parts produced by using measuring equipment to ensure that parts meet blueprint specifications
• Study and understand blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
• Importing files (Windows based) while programming software to nest plate
• Cut and move material as required
• Select proper amperage of gas flow required for specific material and thickness requirements
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance and adjust machine controls or control media as required
• Inspect and document all critical measurements of product during and after manufacturing process to ensure it meets specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans and established procedures
• Schedule daily operations to meet customer orders timely

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and use measuring and basic hand tools
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the entire shift
• The ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane is required
