Pay Rate: $16.50/hr
Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Description: Maestranzi Corporation is a trusted manufacturer specializing in high-quality railroad and locomotive components. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Assembler to join our production team in Genoa City, Wisconsin. In this role, you will focus on building, routing, and crimping custom cable assemblies and wiring harnesses specifically designed for transit and rail cars. Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble, route, and tie electrical cables, wire harnesses, and sub-components for passenger and freight rail cars.
Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires according to engineering blueprints, wiring schematics, and color-coded diagrams.
Utilize various hand and power tools safely, including wire strippers, heavy-duty crimpers, heat guns, and torque wrenches.
Perform quality checks and continuity testing using multimeters or automated test fixtures to ensure defect-free wiring.
Monitor component inventories and promptly report raw material shortages or tool malfunctions to line supervisors.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and highly organized workstation in compliance with internal facility guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for handling small wiring components and pins.
Ability to differentiate colors clearly for accurate wire routing and color-coded schematic interpretation.
Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude; prior experience with wire harness assembly is highly valued but not required.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods throughout an 8-to-10-hour production shift.
Ability to work in an extremely hot environment.
Capability to safely lift, push, pull, or carry manufacturing materials weighing up to 40-50 pounds regularly.
Comfort working inside an industrial facility with ambient noise, necessitating the use of standard protective gear.
