Job Position: Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator
Location: Delavan, WI 53115
Pay Rate: $17.10/hr+ $1.00/hr shift premium
Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Description: We are seeking detail-oriented Plastic Extrusion Machine Operators for full-time, permanent career opportunities. In this dual role, you will set up, operate, and maintain extrusion machinery to manufacture high-quality small plastic tubing. You will also handle product packaging and safely operate a forklift to move materials throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Set up, run, and adjust plastic extrusion machines to produce small tubing according to technical specifications.
Quality Control: Measure tube dimensions using calipers and micrometers to ensure exact diameter and wall thickness.
Packaging: Cut, coil, bundle, and box finished plastic tubes securely for shipment.
Material Handling: Operate a forklift to move raw materials to the production line and transport finished goods to storage bays.
Maintenance: Clean machinery, perform basic troubleshooting, and maintain a safe, organized workstation.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience operating plastic extrusion machinery or similar manufacturing equipment.
Licensing: Prior forklift operator experience and the ability to become forklift certified
Skills: Ability to read blueprints, add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and decimals. Ability to follow technical production orders, and use precise measuring tools.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
