Job Position: Machine Operator Level 2

Location: Hebron, IL 60034

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr to $22.00/hr BOE

Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Description:

We're looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Operators to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the daily operation of your assigned work center, ensuring efficient production and maintaining high-quality standards. You'll also play a key part in our continuous improvement efforts by providing valuable input and involvement. Mold Operator Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned machinery and equipment according to job-specific instructions in the operator manual.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and set up machines

  • Stay informed of operational changes by communicating with colleagues and reviewing manufacturing alerts.

  • Ensure the quality of all produced parts, checking against quality samples and escalating issues when necessary.

  • Be aware of current quality concerns related to assigned products through communication with supervisors, auditors, and quality engineers, and by reading quality alerts.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Accurately document scrap and report excessive scrap to the Production Supervisor.

  • Report any safety hazards or abnormal equipment conditions to the Production Supervisor or Mold Technician.

  • Adhere to established work instructions and company procedures to ensure product quality.

  • Report non-conforming product quality to the Production Supervisor and quality auditor.

  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and OH&S standards.

  • Comply with all company safety and environmental policies, procedures, and management systems.

  • Carry out any reasonable request from the Production Supervisor.

Mold Operator Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand job-specific instructions and manufacturing alerts.

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of machine operation, set up and troubleshooting experience in plastic injection molding

  • Mechanically inclined and be able to troubleshoot minor machine issues and proper operation

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.

  • Basic understanding of quality control principles.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

  • Capable of maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

  • Adherence to safety protocols and environmental policies.
